This global agency is looking for a CRM focused Strategic Planner to lead strategy with one of their key automotive clients. The incumbent is a mid-senior level professional with experience in developing strategic and tactical plans. He/she will be charged with pushing forward CRM strategy at agency and the client.

Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Strategy, this role will work closely with Account Management and Creative to set the direction and strategy for CRM, for one of our key automotive clients:

  • Use strategic planning expertise to interpret client objectives/requests and to focus and frame problem solving tactics, as well as, to inspire the creative process
  • Collaborate with the analytics discipline, to uncover fresh and innovative insights/business opportunities which drive the strategic and tactical planning process
  • Validate, correlate and connect insights in to multidimensional “stories” which identify significant opportunities and fuel inspirational strategies
  • Lead consumer insight, strategy, and communication channel plan development (inc. data/BTL/ATL/creative/tech/Digital) which deliver leading customer experiences and, ultimately business and marketing performance
  • Ability to travel frequently and meet with client stakeholders to create relationships, drive through deliverables, promote discussion and develop awareness
  • Ensure all deliverables, internally and externally, are met in an efficient and timely manner. Identify opportunities to constantly improve the quality of thinking applied to client business.
  • Develop and implement standardised strategic planning tools to foster consistency over time and across projects

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of 5+ year’s experience in CRM, planning, strategic planning and related communications experience
  • Creative Thinker
  • Talented and engaging presenter
  • Automotive experience highly desirable and preferred
  • Marketing background and a experience in analytics desirable
  • Post-secondary education
  • Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Strong client facing skills and the ability to communicate with confidence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Reporting to the Director, Analytics, the incumbent will work closely with the client on site in Nashville, coordinating with the Analytics team in Toronto, to support the client’s automotive parts and service business through the power of analytics and data intelligence. He/she will be charged with pushing forward customer insights and working closely with various stake holders to develop their CRM strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in data exploration and delivery of analytical insights to support the client’s automotive parts and service business
  • Conducts analysis of new initiatives on client programs and reports on performance
  • Develops and maintains standard key performance indicator reports
  • Participates in ad hoc special projects as required, and other tasks as assigned

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Deep understanding of the automotive industry, especially the parts and service business
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of current automotive trends, familiarity with the product lines and business issues facing the various automotive OEMs
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills with the ability and desire to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion and simplify complex situations
  • Exceptional client service orientation with strong PowerPoint/ Keynote skills and the ability to present findings confidently to senior management.
