Job Overview
Reporting to the Account Director, the incumbent is responsible for managing and delivering the annual execution of an Automotive CRM Program for a major OEM. This individual will work closely with the client at their national head office as well as with internal team members and play a pivotal role in the program delivery.
Key Accountabilities
- Grows organic new business with existing clients working closely with the Account Director as required to sell through incremental projects
- Develops consumer insight-driven creative briefs based on client/agency input
- Proactively reinforces and develops team culture and relationships between US and Canadian offices
- Ensures that all new business initiatives and client projects are completed on time and on budget, and that all agency work meets client and agency objectives
- Develops a solid understanding of the client’s business/industry and how key strategic issues impact client/agency objectives
- Learn and understand technical aspects of integrated CRM systems
- Leads and manages client projects acting as the primary interface between mid-level client contacts and various agency departments
- Leads meetings (internal and client) and delivers presentations clearly, effectively and with confidence
- Manages staff, program budgets and produces monthly status reports to review internally and with the client
- Reviews estimates/billing and approves invoices within budgets
- Evaluates copy, layout/artwork, and production materials, and makes suggested revisions prior to concepts being submitted to client
- Anticipates delays, estimates overages and addresses such with clients in a proactive manner
- Provides effective and timely communications to agency teams, clients and outside suppliers through contact reports, etc.
- Participates in ad hoc special projects as required, and other tasks as assigned
Required Skills
- Professional and presentable with a strong business acumen
- An outstanding relationship builder with strong collaborative skills
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent experience, MBA is an asset
- Strong client facing skills and the ability to communicate with confidence
- Excellent MS Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Word skills
- Minimum 5 years experience working in account management, ideally in the marketing and communications field
- Experience with automotive marketing and direct mail promotions is an asset
- Experience with Social Media concepts and delivery
- In-depth experience working on multi-channel B2B and B2C CRM communications, promotions and campaigns at an intermediate to senior level in an agency environment
- Minimum 3 years experience working in a management capacity
- Experience managing client budgets, billing, and timelines
- Solutions-focused thinker
- Highly motivated and organized with an ability to work independently, under tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytics experience is an asset
